“Cooked with love!”
Casita Andina
In the heart of Soho, Great Windmill Street, it is said you just need to “Imagine a place where you can taste love in the food, real care in the way you are treated and feel thousands of years of tradition” and here it exists, Andina!
A Peruvian ‘Picanteria’ these cosy family-‐run restaurants in the homes of Andinas – you step into a whole new world. An Andina is either a dish or a woman from the Andes and you certainly meet the experience when you visit Casita Andina!
“Exciting all your senses”
This Peruvian Restaurant, owned by Martin Morales, whose mother was one of these women, serves dishes and drinks inspired by the gastronomy of its roots, combining nutritious native Peruvian ingredients paired with local British produce. Martin Morales himself is well known for Andina and Ceviche Restaurants and follows suit with this popular restaurant.
The Summit Design teams were in the Soho streets here yet again, supporting Martin’s team, installing the Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning on a design and build basis incorporating the Landlords and Local Authority approval, covering work across three floors plus basement across the premises.
It is certainly worth the experience and enjoying time here. Its brunches are to die for, such as the Salmon Escabeche, sustainable salmon, seaweed escabeche sauce served with sweet potato, or you might just fancy some ‘nibbles’ like their crunchy corn or avocado fritters. Or why not even be more adventurous with Sangrecita on Toast – taste the Peruvian origins: Blood sausage, onions, rocoto chilli, black quinoa brioche.
All in a wonderful ambience, helped by the work carried out by the Summit Design engineers but continues the tradition of its previous existence, with its former life and soul of Soho reputation as ‘The Little Cottage’ which welcomed and served West End Actors and thespians, local market traders, Creatives, and more besides. Some things never change!
“a wow factor through flavours”
And just in case you are wild about fish fans then Seabass, King fish and Trout also make it to the menu in its very Local-‐keeping Peruvian way too. Their dishes and drinks inspired by the cuisine of Cusco, in the Peruvian Andes help provide a great experience for the senses!
Naturally, the have some scrummy desserts too – in all its definitely worth an experience visit!
